If you are a church member, and you have to quarantine or self-isolate for any reason, please do not hesitate to let us know – perhaps the best way is to call the church office (082-550251) to inform us. That way, we can at the very least pray for you, and see if we can arrange any practical care.

In addition, it is good to keep updated and informed with regards to the coronavirus. Nonetheless, we do also advise not to spend excessive time on social media constantly reading the latest news, as it might be counter-productive to your mental health. We advise building in breaks from social media and news websites, and perhaps scheduling times when you might wish to “check in”.

As Christians, let us make sure we are spending time also reading and reflecting on Scripture, as well as to pray. Some suggestions on how to pray and some prayer points for this week will be distributed to HFG groups within the next day or two.

“Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” (Philippians 4:5-8)
